To obtain a PIC number—the 9-digit unique identifier required for participation in EU funding programmes such as Horizon Europe or EIT—you must first register your organization on the European Commission’s Funding & Tenders Portal.
Step-by-Step Guide:
- Create an EU Login Account
Visit the Funding & Tenders Portal and you’ll be redirected to the EU Login page.
- Create your account and set a password.
- Once your password is successfully created, you’ll be logged in automatically.



2. Accept the Terms and Conditions
After logging in, approve the terms and conditions to proceed.

3. Go to “My Organisation(s)”
From the homepage of the Funding & Tenders Portal, navigate to “My Organisation(s)”.

4. Start the Registration Process
Click “Continue registration” and begin entering your organization’s details.
5. Enter Identification Information
If your organization is not listed, continue with the registration.
Begin by entering your organization’s legal name.
A list of similar or already registered organizations will appear to avoid duplicates.


6. Provide Detailed Information
Enter the legal, administrative, and contact information for your organization.


7. Review Authorised Users
Initially, only your account will appear as an authorized user. You can add more users if necessary.

8. Review and Submit Your Application
Double-check all information and submit your registration.

Once your application is submitted, your PIC number will be generated. 🎉 Congratulations!
