A KIC is a network of universities, research institutions, and companies that work together to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in a specific area or field. The KICs (Knowledge and Innovation Communities) are the main operational units of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and are responsible for developing and implementing innovative solutions to some of Europe’s most pressing societal challenges.
Each KIC brings together partners from across Europe and beyond to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth in their respective fields.
